Dr Gian,

I need your help to put my mind at ease. Short and sweet. I had a sexual encounter last sept. Here are the test results.

Hiv: neg antibody at 15/22/25 weeks. Neg pcr at 10 weeks.

Hep C : neg antiboby at 28 weeks, neg Riba at 35 weeks after a false + antibody, neg Hcv Pcr by Rna at 18 weeks.

Hep B : neg antibody at 28/35 weeks.

Is this enough testing and am I neg for Hiv/hepC/hepB ?

Could you tell me how to contribute to your organization? I will do so if you answer my q or not.

I know many others have qs as well.

Thanks

Ps if you do answer me, please use my email address. i am not sure if I could find your web site again.

Hi,

I believe that you could put your case to rest for HIV and HCV and, if both HBV SAg. and core Antibodies were performed, you could also close with HBV.
Thanks for your offer and if you want to make a contribution, please call us and we would be glad to refer you to a non profit organization such as the American Social Health Association, a leading information site for Sexually Transmitted Disease.

In good health,

Dr. Gian

Subject: Hep A

Hello, I'm planning a trip to Panama in Feb'06. I had my hep A shot in
Feb '04. Do I need a booster? P.S.-I'm already covered on Hep B,
yellow fever, anti-malarials and Typhoid. Thanks!

Hi,

Hepatitis A vaccination requires two shots, the second being administered six months after the first one. So you should complete your vaccination, Have a nice trip.

My boyfriend has the Hepatitis C and last month his count was 1 million and this month its 8 million. They are taken one pint of his blood out every month because he has to much iron and red count is to high. We have had sex and I would like to know how this is going to affect my life?

Hi,

make sure you use protection and test for Hepatitis C Antibodies 2-3- times every year if you continue to have sexual intercourse with your partner.

Be well.
