Dr. Gian,

I had a mutual masturbation incident with a woman. I forgot to wash my hands afterward and I ate something about a half hour later and mistakenly licked my finger. Am I at risk to get HIV?

Hi

Long shot! Next time however wash your hands for at least 25 seconds..

Stay well.

Subject: HIV TEST

Dr Gian,

I had an unprotected sex in August. I did HIV ELISA
after 3 weeks and than HIV PCR/DNA test after 5 weeks
since the encounter.  Both tests resulted NEGATIVE.
Should I retest again?

Thanks,

Hi,

yes, retest with HIV ELISA six months after the exposure date.

Be well.
